S & S on public transportation in Boston

Two recent updates to the MBTA service have been life-changing–or at least day changing!–for many of us that use public transit regularly: changes to the Silver Line and Signage.

First, the extension of the Silver Line from the the airport to South Station is fantastic!! Not only is service convenient from each of the terminals at Logan, it also allows you to travel through some of the newest areas of the city and then “pop-up” under South Station. And best of all it is FREE. Many thanks from an avid fan.

These signs actually let us know when the next train will arrive. I believe it has done a great deal to lower the anxiety of riders. Plus, it makes Boston begin to look like a “world class transportation hub,” which we sorely need to do to compete for tourist dollars, to entice new businesses to come here, and to making public transit a viable alternative to driving in and around the city.
