TRIPPS is helping to offer two reduced-fare Charlie Card events at local senior centers in November 2016.
- Brookline Senior Center (93 Winchester St.) on Wed. Nov. 16th 1 pm-3pm
- Newton Senior Center (345 Walnut St., for Newton residents only) on Nov 2nd from 3-4pm
For both events, you will need to bring a government issued photo ID that includes your birth date. Examples of acceptable forms of ID are a driver's license, Massachusetts ID card, or passport. Senior Center staff will take your picture and send it with your application to the MBTA. The MBTA will mail your Senior Charlie Card to you within 4-6 weeks.
Another option is to go to the Downtown Crossing MBTA station, bringing a government issued picture ID with your birth date on it. You will receive a temporary card that day, and your permanent card will come in the mail within a couple of weeks.
Please contact us if you would like one of our volunteers to talk with you about the process or even go to Downtown Crossing with you!
(If you live outside of Brookline or Newton, please visit the MBTA website to find a Senior Charlie Card event near you!)
